Mast -reborn

The rig was taken out during the 3 week yard period. It was stripped of old varnish and inspected thoroughly. A small area of rot was found around an old plug. This was cut out and repaired with a Dutchman. The rest of the timber was found to be in fantastic condition considering its age. 12 coats of high gloss varnish were applied to protect the wood.
The spreaders were also stripped, revarnished on the underside and painted white on the tops.
The jumpers were cut by 19cm to fit in with the original plans and then revarnished.
